She attended the University of Kansas, where she mentored with Simon Carrington, founding member of The Kings Singers. She then attended Trinity College of Music in London and sang with the Trinity Chamber Choir under the direction of Stephen Jackson, conductor of the BBC Chorus.  Her London solo debut was a performance of Berlioz’s Nuits D’ete, and was soon followed by professional engagements as soloist for Haydn’s St. Nicholas Mass and the Mozart Requiem.  On her return to the U.S., Stefanie sang with Dennis Shrock and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale as a soloist for the 100th Anniversary Stravinksy Celebration performance of the Mass and Cantata. She is featured on the Santa Fe Desert Chorale’s CD Transcendence. Stefanie has collaborated with Craig Hella Johnson and Grammy nominated Conspirare since 2000 and has recorded two CDs with them (Thru the Green Fuse, Bach B Minor Mass). She performed a solo recital on the 2001 New Texas Festival season and has been a soloist for Mendelssohn’s St Paul, Bach St. John Passion, Bach B Minor Mass, the premiere of Donald Grantham’s Hymn to the Earth, and Conspirare’s New York City ACDA performances. Stefanie’s 2008-2009 Season includes concerts with Seraphic Fire, Baltimore Concert Artists, and Conspirare. She will perform with Conspirare as the host choir for the national ACDA convention in Oklahoma City and is featured in the nation wide PBS television broadcast A Company of Voices: Conspirare in Concert.
